Becoming a successful leader, someone who is able to build a long-lasting, high-performing team, organization or community is not about what you do, although that is important, it is about how you do what you do, it is about living your deeply held values. Sustainable advantage and enduring success, both for companies and the people who work for them, now lie in the realm of how the new frontier of conduct.

  1. Leading self: This programme is built around the 7 Levels of Leadership Consciousness Model that will help you to gain clarity on your values as a leader. You might be surprised realising that some of your values support you in your journey to success and some values hinder you from fully utilizing your potential and therefore create negative impact on your team and your organisation. Awareness is the key, and this will be our starting point. After gaining clarity on your values, you will be able to see how they impact your choices, decisions and leadership style and what you can do to get out of rut to create new energy, fresh approaches and inspiration in your daily life as a leader.
  2. Leading your team: Understanding your people is crucial. There are no instructions given with every individual on how to motivate, engage and develop them. The good news is that if you know the stages of psychological development, you will be able to recognise at which stage each team member is and therefore you will be able to connect to them and engage them, maximising their potential. 
  3. Leading  strategically: Incorporating elements of Emotional Intelligence and Coaching into your leadership you will learn to develop your people by giving them clarity around expectations, facilitate their creative and independent thinking and accountability so that they will be able to tackle any challenges without your constant involvement, enabling you to focus on strategic priorities

You will leave this program with a new awareness and a bunch of strategies and techniques that you will be able to start implementing from day 1 creating a culture of trust, engagement, and accountability.

Course Outline

DAY 1

Leading Self

  • What values are and how they impact your choices, decisions, motivation and leadership style.
  • Introduction to the 7 Levels of Leadership Consciousness model.
  • Identifying negative factors that keep us stuck in a rut. Did you know that some of your values can be not only a source of you inspiration and drive, but also create tension and struggle. You will understand why you may feel stuck in certain behaviours and keep making the same ineffective choices.
  • What needs to be addressed to create new energy, inspiration and creativity into your daily life as a leader. All starts from knowing, from awareness. Now you know how “your enemy” looks like and you can create strategies to deal with it.

Learning Objectives:

    1. You will gain clarity on your personal values, the drivers behind your choices, decisions and actions
    2. You will learn recognising values behind people’s actions, choices and decisions.
    3. You will learn what needs to be addressed to make more effective decisions and choices that lead to trust, fulfilment and deeper connection.

DAY 2

Leading Your Team

  • 7 Levels of Motivation model. We will build on the knowledge from the day one and continue working with the 7 Levels model, but this time with a different perspective – motivators. What influence people’s motivation and engagement? Working with different cases and scenarios.
  • What are the needs of your people and how to keep them motivated and engaged.You will have a possibility to see the people you lead with new eyes, now knowing what can motivate them and what drives their decisions and actions.Victim attitude vs attitude of a Creator. Drama Triangle vs The Empowerment Dynamics.
  • Creating a culture of trust, creativity and engagement. How can you apply this knowledge in practice? What is the pre-requisite of trust? What is important to put on place? How can you unleash creative and independent thinking. Practice of embodying coaching mindset.
  • Who you need to be and what you need to do to create trust, engagement and accountability. Creating personal development plan. Tapping into your personal accountability and commitment for growth.

Learning Objectives:

    1. You will learn what motivates people and keeps them engaged.
    2. You will learn to recognise manipulative games people play and learn how to not get trapped into such games and help others to adopt an attitude of personal responsibility.
    3. You will learn what is fundamental for creating a culture of trust, commitment and accountability.

DAY 3

  • Role of Emotional Intelligence and empathy in leadership. We have employees, but we work with people. Understanding the complexity of human nature. Role of emotions at workplace. Practicing a skill of creating deep and meaningful connection with people. • How to listen, tap into people’s resourcefulness to create accountability. How good are you at listening? I mean, really listening! We often listen with the purpose to respond and not with the purpose to understand. Developing a skill of deep listening while being fully present will transform your relationship with people around you. Practice listening on the second and third level.
  • Power of questions. How to avoid falling into advice trap to develop people’s independent thinking and responsibility. If you want to receive a good, well thought answer, you need to ask a good thought-provocative question. Asking questions that encourage creative thinking, exploration and learning is an art. Practice of asking powerful questions.
  • Creating clarity in expectations and commitment for action. The feeling of frustration when people do not do what you thought you agreed about is familiar to many of us. You will learn and practice the skill of creating unshakable commitments.

Elena Marsh is a Certified, accredited by International Coaching Federation professional coach (PCC) with more than fifteen years of international experience in leadership development. Her mission is to support, empower and inspire leaders to create an authentic leadership style and succeed in their leadership role. Curiosity and hunger for new experiences and learning opportunities led Elena from Siberia to Kazakhstan and the UK to reach Munich. Where she has been living for the last 10 years with her British husband and a Polish dog. Her professional journey progressed from being a teacher to Executive Search Consultant to HR Manager in Central Asia, to HR Support Manager, Eastern Europe (and later a wider geographical area from Norway to Laos). She led projects related to the development of leadership competencies, cultural transformation, performance and talent management. With a master’s degree in economics, Performance Coaching and Executive Coaching diplomas, and twenty years of international experience in HR, leadership development and coaching, she now works with multiple business industries, coaching and training people around the world.
