INTRODUCTION

Obtain an Internationally Recognized Certification

The Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification is provided through the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. 

Based on knowledge from the Agile Alliance and PMI, with this certification you establish your experience and credibility in agile. Organizations large and small are proud to be agile. Agility in projects has shown to increase team morale, reduce stress, and bring greater customer satisfaction.

If you are looking to solidify your organization’s position in delivering agile products and projects, become a PMI-ACP certificate holder.

This program is designed for who want to gain a certification demonstrating their knowledge of agile.

You are responsible to obtain support materials (free for PMI Members), and to apply, schedule, and pay for your PMI-ACP examination.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for professionals who want to gain the PMI-ACP certification. 

PMI has designated requirements which individuals must meet to qualify to write the PMI-ACP exam. You must have:

  • A high school diploma,
  • 21 contact hours of training in Agile practices (which this program provides),
  • 12 months of general project experience within the last 5 years. If you currently have your PMP or PgMP, this requirement is covered, and 8 months of Agile project experience within the last 3 years. (Have a look at projects that have been run in an iterative and incremental manner.)

What background knowledge is necessary?

You must have experience working in agile projects for at least 8 months in the last three years – this means projects that have iterative and incremental delivery. If you have questions about this, we can help.

To get your certification, you must have twelve months of general project experience in the last five years.

Am I required to attend all the program sessions to get the Program Certificate?

Yes, that is a PMI requirement.

Is there homework between weekly sessions?

Yes, because we are creating study habits during the program that you will need to strengthen and hone to be exam ready after the program.

Is there a final exam in the program?

No, the only measure of success is your obtaining your PMI certification. There is an exam given by PMI that you must pass to get the PMI-ACP certificate.
